VA Application Process

 Once determined that a client can qualify for the VA Aid and Attendance benefit, below is the process from beginning to end:

  • Send letter describing client’s situation and ask for documents on the VA Application checklist.
  • Obtain the documents on the checklist.
  • Enter the information from those documents into VA Software.
  • Confirm reported income, expenses and assets. (Trust documents created and trust funded, if necessary.)
  • Send final application to client for signing and look through.
  • Receive signed application back for Final Review.
  • Mail to VA Pension Management Center

After we mail the final application to the Pension Management Center, we check up on the claims every 2 weeks or so to get status reports until the VA sends the award letter.
